The Board of
Education is interested in highlighting staff members, students,
parents and community members who have contributed in the area of
excellence in education in our district. For this reason, the board
has added a Celebration of Excellence to their regular monthly board
meeting agendas as a way to publicly recognize and express their
appreciation to the individuals and groups responsible for the
wonderful things taking place in our schools.
In
addition, the board is hopeful that it can more actively involve our
students in this portion of their monthly board meetings by
including student presentations and performances highlighting some
of the activities taking place in our buildings.
Each person or group recognized receives a certificate of
recognition and pictures are taken and placed in a Celebration of
Excellence scrapbook to preserve the occasion.
