Parent and Community Participation

Many opportunities are available to encourage dialogue between the school, the home, and the community.  Parents and the community are vital links in providing a well rounded educational experience.  Their voluntary service affords the following:

Parents are encouraged to visit our school.  Frequent parental input is sought in developing new programs for students.  Parent volunteers also serve on a school improvement advisory board.  We enjoy tremendous support as is evidenced by 96% attendance at parent-teacher conferences and excellent turnouts for building functions.

Michigan Educational Assessment Program

The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is given to students in 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th grades.  Figures represent the percentage of students attaining a proficient score.
