STUDENT RECORDS If a student transfers to another school district, records will be sent at the new district’s request. A parent’s written permission is necessary for sending records to any other individual, school district, business, college, or agency. The only exception to this rule is when the district is required by court order to release records, or when data for research purposes are released in a way that identifies no specific student. A parent/legal guardian may view their child’s permanent school record providing arrangements are made with the school office in advance. PROGRESS REPORTS At the completion of each nine weeks, progress reports are issued. (Kindergarten progress reports are sent at the end of the first semester and at the end of the school year.) The evaluation is based on student demonstration of mastery in curriculum areas. LOST AND FOUND Students CLASS PARTIES AND BIRTHDAY TREATS Elementary students have

are responsible for their own property. If a student leaves things out of
place, he/she must bear the consequences. A lost and found box is
maintained by the office. If a student should lose something, he/she
should first check with their teacher and then the office. All clothing
and other articles should be clearly marked with the child’s name. All
items marked will be returned to the child; other items being placed in
the lost and found box. If items are not claimed in a reasonable length
of time they will be given away.
Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. We cannot afford time from the school day
to allow individual birthday parties, but children may bring a simple
treat (cupcakes, cookies, candy bar, etc.) to share with their
classmates. Drinks are not necessary. Please contact your child’s
teacher prior to sending treats.
