Arts
Practice reading with your child for ten
minutes everyday. Choose a place where you will both feel relaxed.
Take turns reading, help them with 'sounds' , picture clues and what
makes sense. Also practice the sight word lists that I have sent
home. Look for a new list every two weeks.
Spelling will start towards the end of December. Look for the
spelling list to come home on Mondays.

News & Notes
Every student must go outside for recess after lunch unless the y
have a written note from a parent. Make sure your child is dressed
appropriately to play outside for thirty minutes. Please put names
on coats, boots, hats, etc. With fifty two first graders in the same
hall, many things get lost!!! |
