CURRENT STATE
(Updated April 28, 2005)

The Nature Center Committee and volunteers have been hard at work improving Trail conditions and renovating the building a new pavilion.

The newly added photos reflect the early spring environment before the deciduous trees have sprouted their leaves.

The new pavilion had a rood overhead thanks to the many volunteers that pitched in to complete this project.

VISION

The nature center remains a diamond in the rough. The property has a wide variety of plants and animals to young scientists and nature enthusiasts. In addition to maintenance needs, age-specific curricula need to be developed to encourage visits by classrooms and community.  Community use of the trail for fitness is an immediate use that can be enhanced by advertising, better marking and proper grading for dryer, more user-friendly conditions.
