Jackson Area Career Center

The Jackson Area Career Center is a high tech career and technical training center where 11th  and 12th graders attend to explore careers, get career training, become certified as a technical specialist, or get college credit. There are co-op work opportunities available as well. This training is free to students. The student is transported to and from the Career Center via school transportation. One of two shifts may be chosen: 8:05-10:40 AM or 11:40-2:00 PM. The student spends at least three class periods enrolled in classes at Western High School in addition to/and concurrent with enrollment at the Career Center. There are many programs to choose from. Program descriptions and JACC pamphlets can be found in the WHS Guidance Office.  Click here for important information regarding the Cosmetology and Photo Journalism Classes*
