Western High School Fine and Performing Arts Paws that Care The generosity of the Jackson County Education Association Mini Grant and WEF grant allowed the art students to start a program called Paws that Care. Fleece material is turned into artistically designed blankets each bearing a patch that represents Western art students caring for others. We presented 22 blankets to the children at the Aware Shelter on May 14. Connie Agusta was thrilled with the project and assured us that they would all go to good homes. It is my hope that I will be able to obtain additional funding to continue the program into the future.
