To accommodate the
model of sequential music education with the five content area
standards from the State of Michigan, and the four areas of
music education from this curriculum, the following inventory
items will assist reaching these goals.
1.
Reading and Writing Music—three
computer workstations including a
MIDI keyboard with headphones, with licensed software for music theory,
music history, music writing, and music sequencing.
2.
Listening to
Music—four components will assist in this area:
i.
Portable audio
recording equipment (mini-disc and audio
cassette) for
small groups with high-quality microphone,
headphones,
and speakers for playback.
ii. Affixed
audio recording equipment in main music room (mini-disc
and audio
cassette) for large ensembles and full band, with high-
quality
microphones, headphones, and speakers for playback.
iii. Affixed
video playback equipment in main music room (projection
screen,
projection unit with plug-ins for PowerPoint, videotape, and
DVD equipped)
for viewing of marching band, concert, and jazz
performances
from groups of the district, as well as performances
from other
groups as exemplary models. The speakers for audio
playback can
be used for this system as well. |
