Community Service Hours

FORMS DUE: Last Friday in April
(no exceptions) 

 The requirement for Western Middle students in order to be eligible to receive a certificate and an award for their service hours is 15 hours of volunteer work.  Remember that this is any non-paid activity and is not mandatory.  All volunteer hours must be recorded by the individual student and be signed by the student and an adult that verifies the hours volunteered.  The completed record sheets should be placed in the Community Service Hours box which is located in the front office.  Hours will be recorded and awards will be given to students who have completed the required hours.  Late paperwork will not be accepted.  If you have any question concerning Community Service in the Western School District or if you need ideas to help you get involved in volunteer work, please call Carol Mohlenhoff, WSD Career Prep/Community Service Coordinator at 841-8855.
