Advisory

Every student will be assigned to an advisory class.  This class includes a variety of activities ranging from academic work to clerical work.  Many of the teams have a set plan for advisory time and will inform the students of the schedule.  Video news is presented during each advisory period.

Advisory is at different times for each grade level, but it is always 21 minutes in length.

                                  After School Activities

Students will need to be with a teacher or coach for all after school activities and will need a bus pass if riding the bus home. Middle school students are NOT allowed to be in the high school or to use the high school vending machines before, during, or after school for any reason without permission from Ms. Potts or Mr. Hamlin. Students may use the vending machines in the middle school before or after school.

Students planning to stay after school must have a pass from their teacher.

In order to go home with a friend, a student needs to take a note to the office to get a bus pass. Leave the white copy in the office and give the yellow copy to the bus driver when getting on.

Students waiting for rides are to wait in the front lobby or outside.

                                     Assignment Book

Every student at WMS will receive one new assignment book each year. Advisory teachers will hand out the books and teachers will check them periodically to see that they are being used correctly.

Assignment books are required and to be taken to each class and have a place to sign for hall passes. New assignment books will be given to students who lose or destroy their book and a $6.00 fee will be charged.
