Discipline Continued

     DISRUPTION TO LEARNING - chronic and serious disruption of learning in your classroom.

     EXTORTION - intimidating another student to give you money or something of value.

     FIGHTING/ASSAULT - willfully engaging in physical contact, such as hitting, pushing, or grabbing with the intent to cause discomfort or harm.

     FORGERY - falsifying school forms or signatures of teachers, school officials, or parents.

     HARASSMENT - threatening, taunting, or provoking with verbally abusive language or behavior. This includes sexual harassment.

     HIGH SCHOOL - Students are not to be in the High School without a teacher/parent/coach.

     HORSEPLAY - hitting, pushing, grabbing, or chasing others to cause minor discomfort or distraction.

     INSUBORDINATION - refusal to obey a clear and responsible directive from a teacher or school personnel, both in and out of the classroom.

     OBSCENITY - inappropriate language (swearing) or obscene behavior in school or at school sponsored events.

     OFF-LIMITS - being on parts of the school grounds designated as off-limits, or being in the high school without permission.

     PLAGIARISM - passing off another person’s work as your own (includes copying from another student, the Internet, or a book).

     POSSESSION OF A WEAPON - this includes any object capable of causing injury, or any object that looks like a weapon.

     POSSESSION/USE/SALE OF DRUGS - this includes illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, tobacco products, and lighting devices.

     PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION - no kissing or embracing.

     SKIPPING - being more than 5 minutes late to class without permission is considered skipping.

     STEALING/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - stealing or damaging school property or the property of others.

     THREATS/PROMOTING A FIGHT - comments or gestures that incite others to fight.

Students who are repeat offenders may be subject to elevated consequences and/or suspension.
All disciplinary issues are subject to administrator’s discretion.
