Fire and Tornado Drills

WMS will have several fire drills throughout the year.  The signal is an intermittent sounding of a special fire drill.  The following rules are to be followed for everyone’s safety:

• Move quickly and orderly along the exit route posted in the classroom.
• Leave all books, pencils, jackets, etc. in the classroom.
•
DO NOT GO TO YOUR LOCKER!
• Move at least 200 feet from the building after exiting.
• Take all drills seriously!  They might save your life in a real emergency.

Tornado drills will also occur and instructions are posted in each room.  If a tornado has been sighted in the immediate area, students will take cover in the building until the all clear is announced.
