The Michigan School Readiness Program is a state-funded preschool for four-year olds who are at risk of failure in school.  The program has been at Western School District for seven years and is currently funded for seventeen children.  The program is a half day session that runs four days a week.  The main focus is to transition these children successfully from preschool to the traditional K-12 setting.  Parent involvement is encouraged and reinforces to parents how their actions and involvement in the school experience can influence their child.  If you have any questions, please contact:
